Senor Rico Rice pudding ingredients

  • White rice
  • Water
  • Sweetened condensed milk
  • Evaporated milk
  • Vanilla extract
  • Ground cinnamon (for garnish)

Recipe substitutions

Don’t have all the ingredients on hand? No worries! Use these instead:

  • Arborio or medium-grain rice can be used instead of white rice for a creamier texture. I prefer using brown rice fir my pudding recipe.
  • If you prefer a less sweet pudding, swap the sweetened condensed milk for an equal amount of regular milk and add sugar to taste.
  • For a dairy-free version, use coconut milk and sweetened condensed coconut milk instead of dairy-based products to make a coconut milk rice pudding.
  • Add ground chocolate chips instead of vanilla for a chocolate rice pudding.

Recipe variations

While Senor Rico Rice Pudding is delicious on its own, you can customize it to suit your taste preferences. Here are a few ideas:

  • Add raisins or other dried fruits for extra sweetness and texture.
  • Add a tablespoon of cocoa powder for a chocolate taste.
  • Top with chopped nuts or shredded coconut for added crunch.
  • Experiment with different spices like nutmeg or cardamom for unique flavor profiles.
