  • Berries: These are our main ingredient for the show. You may use fresh raspberries and blueberries if currently in season. You can also use frozen berries. I prefer making my smoothie with frozen berries for a cold and extra creamy smoothie.
  • Banana: Our recipe today is blueberry and raspberry smoothie with a banana. Grab one piece of ripe banana. Banana add extra sweetness and creaminess.
  • Milk: There are different types of milk to suit your dietary needs. If you’re a vegan, you can opt to use plant based milk such as soy milk, almond milk, oat milk, coconut milk among others. If non vegan, any milk would suffice your recipe.
  • Yogurt: Any yogurt would be a great choice. I prefer Greek yogurt with vanilla flavour. If using a sweetener, plain yogurt would be a great choice.
  • Sweetener(optional): You may add a sweetener to your smoothie if you prefer it sweeter. You can use honey, Marple syrup, or your table sugar.

Step by step

Prep your berries: start by washing your raspberries and blueberries under clean running water. You may add a few tablespoons of white vinegar to remove extra dirt. Rinse them properly and drain any water.

Place the ingredients in a blender: Start by pouring your liquid ingredients first. Pour yogurt and milk into the blender. Add sliced raspberries, blueberries, and sliced bananas into the blender.

Blend: Blend your ingredients under a high speed for 2 minutes. Add your sweetener. If you prefer your smoothie cold add a few icecubes and blend until smooth.
