Espresso coffee syrup is a concentrated liquid made by combining strong brewed espresso with sugar. It is my favourite minimalist recipe as it uses only two ingredients; strongly brewed espresso and granulated sugar.

This results in a thick, flavorful syrup that captures the intense essence of espresso with a hint of sweetness. You can use this espresso simple syrup on beverages and desserts. [caption id="attachment_2151" align="alignnone" width="408"]Espresso coffee syrup Espresso coffee syrup[/caption]

What is an espresso coffee syrup?

What is an espresso?

Espresso is a concentrated coffee beverage brewed by forcing hot water through finely-ground coffee beans. This process typically involves using high pressure, resulting in a small, strong shot of coffee with a rich and robust flavor. Espresso forms the base for various coffee drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, and Americanos, and its intensity and bold taste make it a favorite among coffee enthusiasts.

How to make espresso coffee syrup at home Follow these simple steps I used to make my espresso syrup. First you'll need a burr grinder to grind your fresh coffee beans. I prefer dark roast coffee beans for their rich flavour. You also need an espresso machine. An espresso machine is a specialized device designed to brew espresso. It uses pressure to force hot water through finely-ground coffee, resulting in a concentrated and flavorful shot of coffee. Using an espresso machine, brew a cup of strong espresso. Combine the espresso and brown granulated sugar in a saucepan. Boil over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Simmer for 10 minutes or until syrupy. Remove from heat and let it cool. Put on a glass jar once cooled. Our espresso coffee syrup is ready
