Spread the love

Green apple mocktail with sprite is my favourite fruit mocktail. Can I tell you why? It is super easy to make, with just 3 ingredients and your refresher mocktail is ready. I also love this apple mocktail recipe because it is a non alcoholic mocktail. It is also kids friendly and can be enjoyed by everyone in the family.

To make this green apple mocktail with sprite, I have uses granny Smith apples, sprite soda, and lime juice. Optionally you may add some sugar or a simple syrup for sweetness. I prefer my mocktail tart. Also you can add some mint leaves and icecubes, if you prefer your green apple drink cold.

TIPS

  1. Apple Selection: Choose crisp, tart green apples like Granny Smith for a more distinct flavor.
  2. Sweetness: Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of honey, simple syrup, or sugar according to personal preference.
  3. Texture: If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the blended mixture to remove any pulp or fiber.
  4. Chilling: Chill the glasses beforehand or use plenty of ice for a cooler, more refreshing drink.
  5. Garnish: Experiment with garnishes like apple slices, mint leaves, or a dash of cinnamon for added aroma.

MOCKTAIL VARIATIONS

  1. Spiced Green Apple: Add a pinch of cinnamon or a dash of ginger for a spicy kick.
  2. Herbal Twist: Infuse the mocktail with basil or thyme for an herby undertone.
  3. Fizzy Twist: Instead of club soda, try using ginger ale or a flavored sparkling water for a different taste profile.
  4. Coconut Infusion: Mix in a splash of coconut water for a tropical twist.

SERVING SUGGESTIONS

  1. Mocktail Bar: Set up a DIY mocktail station with various fruit purees, garnishes, and sodas for guests to create their own customized mocktails.
  2. Pairing: Serve the green apple mocktail with light snacks like cheese and crackers, fresh fruit, or even a light salad.
  3. Brunch Companion: It’s a perfect non-alcoholic option for brunches or gatherings with its refreshing taste.
  4. Seasonal Themes: Coordinate the mocktail with seasonal fruits or spices for a festive touch.

STORAGE

Once prepared, a green apple mocktail is best enjoyed immediately for the freshest taste and optimal fizziness from carbonated components like soda. However, if you need to store it:

  • Short-term storage: You can keep the prepared green apple mocktail in the refrigerator for a few hours (up to 4-6 hours) in a sealed container or pitcher. The carbonation might lessen over time, but it will still be drinkable.
  • Longer storage: It’s not advisable to store a mixed green apple mocktail for an extended period as the carbonation will gradually dissipate, and the flavors might alter. The drink might also lose its freshness.

Are there non-alcoholic substitutes for club soda or sparkling water?

Yes, if you prefer non-carbonated options, you can use still water or apple juice to dilute the apple puree instead of carbonated beverages. It will alter the texture and taste but can still be enjoyable.

Can I make a frozen version of the green apple mocktail?

Absolutely! Blend the green apple puree with ice cubes until smooth for a slushy, frozen mocktail. Adjust the sweetness and consistency to your liking.
